Voor Foodie friday (georganiseerd door http://designsbygollum.blogspot.com/) baad ik nog even in Franse sferen...jawel ik kan er niet genoeg van krijgen. We zijn maar een weekje geweest naar het hotelletje in Gassin (hotel Les Lavandes) maar ik moet er nog elke ochtend aan denken als ik aan mijn Hollandse boterham met kaas zit...Iedere ochtend stond er een mandje verse croissantjes, een mandje warm knapperig stokbrood, koffie, thee, jus d'orange en een kan melk klaar. Met het uitzicht op Saint tropez en het Franse zonnetje erbij was het genoeg om ons iedere dag in droomland te wanen.

Het hotelletje was zo klein, je zag het vanaf de weg nauwelijks liggen, maar 13 kamers en een bescheiden terras met Franse bistrosetjes, maar wel echt antiek want geerfd van de voorouders van de huidige eigenaresse.

De terrassen van Gassin stromen 's avonds bomvol met levensgenieters die komen eten en komen genieten van het sfeertje en het uitzicht maar in de morgen liggen ze er rustig bij.

I'm just homesick, I want to go back to this wonderful place, Gassin, watching over Saint Tropez and enjoying a typical Frecnh breakfast from our place in the sun...

Saint Tropez, Sainte-Maxime, the markets

How about these markets in the south of France...in Sainte-Maxime, Ramatuelle, Les Cannets etc. ? We've seen so many lovely things but...a lot of them were to expensive to buy...taking pictures of all these treasures made me almost as happy as buying them would have made me...almost... look at this window in Saint Tropeze..isn't it a beauty?

We've seen so many beautiful things...the market in Saint Tropez, a weekly event on tuesday, Liz Hurley just walking down the street...the sea and it's wonderful colours changing by the hour, the houses of Saint Tropez...it's all too much to show in one post so I'll make one every day..The way she walked down the street being kind to the tourists who wanted to take pictures with her....so amazing...
