Voor de post van Pink Saturday van vandaag kijk ik terug op het afgelopen jaar, zo aan het eind van het jaar ga je nadenken over wat er dit jaar zoal is gebeurd en over wat je het komend jaar vooral anders wilt gaan doen...Ik weet niet of iedereen dat doet...maar ik wel...
Een bezoekje aan Père Lachaisse zit er hopelijk in 2010 nog wel een keertje in...liefst in de lente, omdat de combinatie van die zerken met nieuw ontluikend groen me ook wel mooi lijkt om op de foto te zetten...de sfeer daar is er eentje om nooit meer te vergeten.

Pink Saturday part 21: Père-Lachaisse in Paris
During our stay in Normandy this year we decided to make a one day trip to Paris with our son and his girlfriend. One of the places he wanted to visit was the cemetery of Père-Lachaisse, we had been there before with him when he was eleven and it made such an impression that he wanted to get back and show his girlfriend the historic little kind of village in Paris, with its small buildings as tombs. The special atmosphere had made such an impression on him even as a child...Now that the end of the year is nearby it's a time to reflect, to look back at a year that's passed by and to look forward for what is to come...bringing back memories and creating hope for the future...

Tijdens onze vakantie naar Deauville hadden we één dagje Parijs ingelast, omdat we het er zelf zo prachtig vinden maar ook om onze zoon en zijn vriendin er de mooiste plekjes te laten zien. Eén van de mooiste plekken is Père-Lachaisse, een grote historische begraafplaats in Parijs. Het is eigenlijk meer een groot ommuurd dorp in een wereldstad, een oase van rust waar je alleen de vogels hoort fluiten en de bladeren van de bomen hoort ruisen.
Père-Lachaisse is, als je toch een keer de kans hebt om Parijs te bezoeken, zo verschrikkelijk de moeite waard om te gaan bekijken. Je kan er uren wandelen over de geplaveide wegen en de eeuwenoude graven van o.a. Chopin, Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde en nog veel meer beroemdheden bezoeken. Maar dat is niet het belangrijkste, de sfeer tussen de hoge bomen, de verzakte graven, de oude tombes, de glas in lood ramen in de huisjes, de stenen bloemen op de zerken is, alles laat een onvergetelijke indruk achter
